Ballistic Resistant Doors

CFI now offers a complete line of Ballistic Resistant Doors and Frames. These doors are part of a modular system based on years of custom-built solutions which provide bullet-resistance while seamlessly integrating with existing building structures and features.

This door line provides the maximum ballistic resistance available today in a variety of levels to protect from different threats. These doors are currently used in settings from courtrooms and corporate offices to public schools, homes and industrial buildings. In fact, any environment subject to ballistic or intrusion attacks can be safer.

Door products are rated in UL levels 1-8 and can include windows and ballistic matching wood frames to discretely conceal the protections they offer. Wood species, door style, hardware selections and door size can all be customized for your specific needs.

Homes, offices, businesses, educational settings, houses of worship and municipal building are all appropriate for these bullet resistant wood doors and bullet resistant wood frames. Doors are available in bullet-resistant ratings from UL1 through UL8, in a wide variety of sizes, styles and finishes, alone or with wood or metal frames, in wood, metal and PLAM finishes, with hardware to spec, including:

When paired with the Ballistic Resistant Wall Panels, products and Accessories, the system provides an additional layer of protection in a wide array of settings.

These doors and frames are designed to standard architectural guidelines and specifications for ballistic protection.
Bulletproof characteristics are provided by pultruded ballistic grade fiberglass impregnated with thermoset resin constructed into rigid flat sheets. Fiberglass and resin mix meets or exceeds UL 752 standards for ballistic resistant panels in each of the UL levels.

• Self-Extinguishing UL 94-V-0
• Thickness, UL Level 3: 1/2 inch (12 mm)
• Bullet resistance of joints is equal to that of the panel.
• Non-ricochet type doors and frames permit the capture and retention of an attacking projectile, lessening the potential of a random injury or lateral penetration.
• Window, frame, and door components effectively reduce the penetration potential of bullets at all seams and gaps between different wall construction components.
